Payky is ready for Czech EET 2.0

Start Payky, connect it to EET. Done.

From 1 January 2027, Payky sends every payment it receives to EET on its own. It costs nothing, and neither does the cash register certificate from the Financial Administration.

Connecting needs a cash register certificate from DIS+, available from 1 November 2026. Until then, you can try everything with the Financial Administration's official test certificate.

Setting up Payky

Turning it on in Payky takes minutes

You'll find everything in the app under Settings → EET.

  1. Get the certificate and unit number

In DIS+ on the MOJE daně portal, you set up a recording unit and generate a cash register certificate.

How to do it in DIS+
  2. Upload the certificate

Pick the .p12 file and enter its password. Payky checks the password, key, tax ID and validity right away.

  3. Enter the recording unit number

    The number DIS+ gave you.

  4. Choose who the tips belong to

Tips that belong to the business are part of the sale. When they belong to the employees, Payky leaves them out.

  5. Test the connection

A verification message checks the setup, and in the sandbox you can send a test sale too. None of it is recorded.

  6. Turn recording on

From then on, Payky sends every payment it receives as a sale: cash, QR payments and bitcoin.

Try it today

You can get your own certificate only from 1 November 2026. In the sandbox, use one of the Financial Administration's official test certificates instead and go through recording as a dry run.

What Payky takes care of

Payky sends the records for you

Checkout never waits

The payment is done at once. The sale is sent in the background and the customer never waits for EET.

Retries without signal

When the network drops, Payky keeps resending the sale until EET confirms it. Anything not through within 48 hours is flagged on the payment.

Refunds as negative sales

Money returned is recorded as a new sale with a negative amount. Payky sends it as soon as you record the refund.

Several phones, one record

Each device is its own cash register. If one goes offline, another device of the account sends its sales after ten minutes.

A confirmation on every payment

Each payment shows whether EET confirmed it, with the confirmation code. Unconfirmed sales are listed together in the settings.

Watches the certificate

Three weeks before your certificate expires, Payky's settings warn you so you can renew it in time.

Deadlines

Only a few weeks to get ready

  1. 1 Nov 2026

    Registration and certificates

In DIS+ on the MOJE daně portal you sign up for recording, create recording units and generate a cash register certificate.

  2. 1 Jan 2027

    Recording starts

Sales recording starts. January runs as a pilot, but it is already standard recording.

Activating DIS+ can take up to 48 hours. Don't leave registration to the last minute.

Who it applies to

You record a sale when the customer pays you in person

Every business, individual or company, that receives recorded sales has to record them. What matters is how the customer pays.

Recorded

  • Cash, always
  • Card payments on the spot
  • QR payments and transfers made in person
  • Crypto-assets such as bitcoin
  • Meal vouchers, gift vouchers, cheques and prepaid cards

Not recorded

  • Online shop payments through a payment gateway
  • Bank transfers against an invoice without meeting in person
  • Income that isn't from business

Exempt are, for example, the state and municipalities, banks and insurers, public transport and vending machines. Full list of exemptions on eet.gov.cz

EET OFF

Flat-rate taxpayers in the first band with income up to CZK 1 million can opt out of recording. It costs an extra CZK 1,400 a month on top of the flat tax, CZK 16,800 a year. They have to sign up by the 10th day of the tax period, and the choice holds for the whole year.

Getting ready with the tax office

Three steps in DIS+

Everything is done online in the Tax Information Box (DIS+) on the MOJE daně portal, from 1 November 2026.

  1. Log in to DIS+

On the MOJE daně portal, open Online finanční úřad and log in with your Citizen Identity, data box or Financial Administration credentials. Activate DIS+, which can take up to 48 hours, and choose "Chci začít evidovat" (I want to start recording).

  2. Create a recording unit

A recording unit is your premises, fixed or mobile such as a stall, a website or app, or you yourself when you work at customers' places. The system gives it a number that can't be changed. That's what you enter in Payky.

  3. Generate a cash register certificate

In the Certificates (CA EET) tab, generate a cash register certificate for free and download the .p12 file with its password. The certificate is valid for one year.

What changes

What EET 2.0 brings

Less data

Only who, where, when and how much is sent: your tax ID, recording unit, cash register, sequence number, date and time, and the total including VAT. No items and no customer data.

No mandatory receipt

The Sales Recording Act doesn't require you to print or hand out a receipt. Other rules may require a receipt, for example when the customer asks for one.

Cards and QR payments too

Card and other cashless payments taken in person are now recorded too. So EET also applies to businesses that take no cash at all.

A network outage is fine

Without internet you keep selling. The sale has to be sent as soon as the connection is back, within 48 hours at the latest.

A tax credit of up to CZK 5,000

Self-employed individuals can claim it once, for the period in which they start recording sales. How much of it you can actually use depends on the conditions set by law.
